Everardo Ramírez (1906 - 1992)

Campesina con Niño y Maguey (10/20), circa 1948
9.25 x 7.50 in (23.50 x 19.05 cm)
This print appears to have been made around the time of Ramírez' portfolio Vida en mi Barriada (Life at my City's Edge). Indeed, it could fit perfectly in the series. Everardo Ramírez grew up in San Francisco, a suburb of Coyoacan, at the southern edge of Mexico City. His work honors the land of his forefathers and the people living and laboring on the land.
